Airedales are a wonderful breed, but they are not for everyone! They have alot of energy, get bored with repetition and they will create their own fun if it is not provided! They are intelligent, thinking dogs and require alot of patience in training. If you take the time, you will be rewarded with a funny, loving companion.

Some things to consider if you are thinking of making an Airedale a member of your household:

1. Do you have a good sense of humor and a willingness to forgive and forget?
2. Do you have a fenced area for the dog to exercise and go potty?
   1. What will you do when it rains?
   2. What if you are unable to "walk" the dog yourself?
3. Do you have the time and a schedule that works for both you and your companion?
   1. Does your schedule allow for making sure that your puppy or older animal gets regular potty breaks and feedings?
   2. Do you have the time to properly socialize your animal?
   3. Are you able to take your dog to training class? Basic obedience is great fun for you and your companion!
   4. Do you have children and if so, are you willing to take the time to teach your children the proper way to deal with a dog?
4. Are you willing to crate train your animal for its safety and your piece of mind?
